fallopianrhapsody asked: Have you heard of John Elder Robison? I've never really seen his name mentioned around the ASD Tumblrs. He wrote a book about his life w/ Aspergers & he's an autism advocate(and the brother of the guy that wrote Running With Scissors)...but he supports Autism Speaks, so I don't know how to feel about him anymore.

I’ve heard of him, but I don’t know how to feel either. I generally don’t support anyone who supports Autism $peaks, however.

  1. god-my-oh said: He supports them because he was the first actually autistic person they hired. They seem to be making steady progress away from completely sucking over the past two years in that regard. That said, their monopoly over autism conversation still sucks.
